After Receiving a DMCA Notice
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will promptly investigate the claim. If we determine that the material in question violates the copyright of the complainant, we will remove or disable access to the content that is allegedly infringing.
If you are the user who posted the allegedly infringing material and believe that the content was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification, you may file a Counter-Notice. A counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside (or the Northern District of California if you are outside the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original claimant files a lawsuit against the infringing party within 10-14 business days.
Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and applicable law, we will terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright.
